The Fraternity & Sorority Life office remains available to help you for the remainder of the semester. Students can easily connect with us by following us on social media at @greeklifegsu on Instagram and Facebook, email at greeklife@gsu.edu,on the Panther Involvement Network (pin.gsu.edu) or call 404-413-1582 during business hours.  Students can also sign up for our Virtual Drop-in Hours.  Time slots are available for the remainder of the Spring Semester!

Can I complete my new member process even though we've gone to online classes?

Have your chapter officers connect with the national organization for guidance.  Once your national office has determined a plan for your new member process, please contact the Fraternity & Sorority Life staff and provide us an update.
Can my chapter still travel?

With the remainder of Spring 2020 semester classes shifting to an online format and all campuses being closed to students and the public, all travel scheduled for the remainder of this semester will need to be cancelled to ensure compliance with the guidance from the University System of Georgia, CDC, and public health agencies. We recommend that all organizations examine activities and abide by the guidelines set by the CDC. You can find more information at http://www.gsu.edu/coronavirus/travel/.
Are my chapter events canceled?

With the remainder of Spring 2020 semester classes shifting to an online format and all campuses being closed to students and the public, all in-person activities scheduled for the remainder of this semester (both on and off campus) will need to be cancelled to ensure compliance with the guidance from the University System of Georgia, CDC, and public health agencies. We will work with individual groups to address outstanding contractual or financial issues.
Can my chapter still host meetings?

Please consult with your national organization and Fraternity & Sorority Life staff for guidelines and resources moving to virtual meetings for the remainder of the semester.  Georgia State University provides many online tools to students, faculty, and staff, which can be found online at technology.gsu.edu. You can also use Panther Involvement Network (PIN) to virtually manage your organization, including messaging, file storage, voting via Forms, and elections.
Are council meetings going to continue?

Yes, council presidents should consult with their primary advisor. The Interfraternity, Multicultural Greek, National Pan-Hellenic, and Panhellenic Councils will continue to meet virtually, or the executive boards will send out updates in conjunction with their council meeting schedule for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester.
How can chapters access their room on the 4th floor of Student Center West or a Locker?

Since the campus is closed to students and the public through the end of the Spring 2020 semester, organizations who have a room or locker will be contacted by the Student Organizations office to arrange for a specific date and time to retrieve their personal or organizational belongings that would be needed (between M-F 8:30 a.m.– 5:15 p.m.).
